Since 1994, our focus has been on Retirement Systems and Operations, bringing our staff's extensive experience in developing retirement systems and improving back office operations together with TPAs and recordkeepers to replace, improve, and implement technology to meet evolving business needs.

As is often the case with benefits administration, issues arise with existing processes and tools.  These are "accommodated" by veteran staff with manual workarounds and patchwork fixes.  Even internal IT may get involved.  But over the years, the administrative processes become more fractured, undocumented, and a poor business fit making it hard for experienced staff to perform and even more so for new staff that have not “lived” the back office evolution.

The need to invest in process improvement can come as somewhat of a shock.  But the justifications are many.  It is arguable that an ongoing investment over years past could have reduced the scope and size of the investment now needed.  When viewed as an expense over the aggregate of past years, the costs can seem more reasonable and expected.  It is the forward-looking aspect of this improvement that adds significant merit to the investment.  Modernization, automation, maintainability, and documentation are all factors that result in improved stability and sustainability of benefits administration services over the course of benefit plan, legislation, technology, and administration staff changes.
